Changi Airport lists Grab, Gojek, Zig, TADA Mobility, Ryde and Geolah as private-hire options for airport journeys. You can also take a metered taxi from the airport taxi ranks.
The useful question is not simply "Grab or taxi?" It is: what is available for your terminal, luggage, timing and destination right now — and what does the final fare include?
What to check before booking from Changi
Use the correct terminal and pickup point
Terminals 1, 2, 3 and 4 have designated Arrival and Ride-Hailing pickup points. Set the correct location before comparing.
Compare at the time you are actually ready
Private-hire fares can change with demand. Comparing too early while you are still at immigration or baggage claim can make the information less useful.
Choose the right vehicle size
If you have several passengers or large bags, compare an appropriate vehicle category rather than only the lowest standard-car fare.
Confirm the provider screen
Use comparison as context, then confirm the current fare, pickup instructions and availability in the provider app before booking.
Taxi airport surcharges
Changi Airport currently states an airport surcharge of S$8 for taxi trips originating from the airport between 5:00 PM and 11:59 PM, and S$6 at other times. Separate nationwide taxi peak-hour and midnight surcharges can also apply. These are taxi rules, not a claim about private-hire fares.
